Here is a game that I played back in 2007 and won the best game prize of the tournament.
After mishandling the opening as black, I managed to gain the initiative with my 14th move. Black's 18th move wins the game with an unexpected move.

22 Rfe1 is probably a bit smelly as it allows Black to execute his plan on taking on d5 with the Knight Luckily, White wriggles out.

Placed a tightly fought game against Karsten Saunders.
We both made a few errors, but I think a draw a pretty fair in the end. I'm going to add my initial annotations in first, and will come back later and analyse the game with Fritz. I felt I wasn't quite playing to my best.

Edinburgh 2 played Wandering Dragons 2 on a cold dark Monday 24/11.
I didn't have a chance to look at anyone else's games as I was stuck in a tense maneuvering battle with Don Herron.
I allowed him to get a Knight onto an outpost square which eventually I manged to swap off. The game then drifted towards a draw until Don sacrificed a pawn to activate his bishop pair. I fended off his attack and got into a decent position whereupon we were both in pretty bad time trouble. I lost 2 pawns in the time scramble that followed, but was moving pretty quickly. I was very fortunate in the end to win on time, with my opponents flag falling when I had only 12 seconds remaining. (Digital clocks).
